For his 1984 "In 3D" album, Weird Al Yankovic wrote B-52's pastiche about inventor Sam Popeil (father of Ron Popeil of Ronco), and while looking for female session vocalists he found prolific voice coach and singer Lisa Popeil, Sam's daughter (and Ron's half-sister) and thought it would be funny to have her sing about her father. She enthusiastically agreed and has been part of his regular studio session musician crew ever since! She even accompanied him as a touring music on his 2019 orchestral Strings Attached Tour (Mr. Popeil was not part of the tour setlist, however).
